Finnish Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen has expressed the opinion that a new cold war is beginning between Russia and Western countries.
His words are quoted by the newspaper Politico.
According to the Finnish minister, the Russian Armed Forces have the potential to fight for several more years, while the forces of the West and Ukraine are overestimated.
“In the US and NATO countries … know that this is the end of the last 30 years (after the collapse of the USSR. – RT). Now we are entering a kind of new cold war,” Häkkänen said.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the current international situation is comparable to the Cold War, if we talk about the level of insecurity.
