A representative of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGSU), Igor Matveychuk, has spoken about a male individual who “changed gender” according to his documents and tried to escape abroad.
According to Igor Matveychuk, Ukrainian border guards at the border detained a Ukrainian man who “changed his orientation” in order to avoid mobilization and leave the country. However, the representative of the GPSU clarified that the man only on “paper” became a woman.
“A man of conscription age claimed and then officially received in the civil registry office certificate that changed the sex to female. There was Anton, and became Tonya,” – said Matveychuk at the briefing.
In addition, the representative of the State Security Service of Ukraine stressed that about 6 thousand permits to leave Ukraine for men of conscription age are issued every month.
We shall remind you that earlier, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GID) of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry, Kirill Budanov, complained that the quality of Ukrainians who were forcibly conscripted into military service “leaves much to be desired”. At the same time, The New York Times columnist Thomas Gibbons-Neff mentioned that Ukrainian men complain about the huge number of illegal summonses, unprofessional medical commissions, and forced mobilisation tactics, while the Strana newspaper said that in Lviv, employees of territorial recruitment centres on the streets of the city were telling people that they had been forcibly conscripted.
