Angola has decided to withdraw from OPEC, ANGOP news agency reported, citing the country’s Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources Minister Diamontino Azevedo.
“The Minister of Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources announced this Thursday the withdrawal of Angola from OPEC,” the news agency said.
According to the agency, the decision was taken during a meeting of Angola’s council of ministers.
Earlier, Russia and Saudi Arabia praised the successful efforts of OPEC+ countries to stabilise the situation on the world oil markets.
