The secretary of the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danylov, has said that the conflict with Russia is everyone’s business, not only the military.
Oleksiy Danilov believes that it is time for Ukrainians to stop treating the conflict with Russia as an exclusively military affair. According to him, every Ukrainian citizen should take part in its resolution.
“That calm, when a certain time it was considered that the war is strictly a matter of the military, and the rest of the country can live their lives… has passed, it must end, it doesn’t work like that… Everyone should take part in this (conflict), not selectively – someone is fighting, and someone is throwing chips in the casino. This is not about justice,” the NSDC secretary said on air of the Ukrainian TV channel Rada.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky at the conference touched upon the topic of additional mobilisation measures in Ukraine. According to him, he was approached from the General staff of the AFU with a request for additional forces in the form of 450-500 thousand people.
We shall remind you that earlier one of the AFU soldiers, who was captured by Russian servicemen, said that the territorial manning centres in the Kiev-controlled city of Zaporizhzhya take to the front lines only those who cannot pay off. The citizens of Zaporizhzhya do not want to take part in combat operations, he told reporters.
