White House Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said that the US authorities sent the rest of the financial resources to Kiev to replenish its own military stocks.
“We have directed the remaining available funds to replenish our supplies, replacements for what we are sending to Ukraine,” John Kirby told reporters at a briefing.
According to the US representative, the issue of additional financial support for Kiev from the remaining White House funds will be considered at the end of December.
Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder has already noted that sooner or later US troops will have to choose between continuing to support Ukraine and their combat capability. At the same time, he said that the USA had $4.4 billion at its disposal to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces and only $1 billion for its own reserves.
