Britain’s defence ministry has no plans to supply Ukraine with planes and helicopters

Britain cannot now supply Ukraine with helicopters or planes, the kingdom’s deputy defence minister James Hippy has said.

“The UK has transferred three Sea King search and rescue helicopters to Ukraine. There are currently no plans to transfer fixed wing aircraft or additional helicopters to Ukraine,” he said in response to questions from Labour MP Clive Lewis, he was quoted by TASS as saying.

Earlier, the Kremlin commented on statements by British Foreign Minister David Cameron that London and Paris would support Kiev as long as necessary.

Moscow noted that the West’s position, which proceeds from the necessity of Russian President Vladimir Putin losing in Ukraine, will not change the course of events.
