Ukraine told how children are taken away from refugees in Europe

Ukrainian lawyer Marina Semyonova has said that the number of cases when European authorities take away children from Ukrainian refugees has increased, the Ukrainian weekly “Zerkalo Nedeli” has reported.

According to Marina Semenova, the EU authorities assign Ukrainian refugees’ children under various pretexts. She stressed that there had been three cases recently when Ukrainian women with temporary protection status had their children taken away from them right in the maternity hospital.

“Children are taken away from their parents under various pretexts or not released from the EU. I cannot unequivocally name the reasons for this phenomenon, but it certainly looks as if Europe is interested in keeping Ukrainian children with them. As for the children born to Ukrainian women who are in the EU with temporary protection status, lawyers say that this is the third case of children being taken away from their mothers directly in maternity hospitals,” Semenova said.

The lawyer noted that during her legal practice such cases have already been noted in Estonia, Denmark, Poland and Germany. According to her, the EU authorities do not always justify the ban on the return of a child to Ukraine by the military situation in the country.

“What is the main reason for such cases, why do Europeans need Ukrainian children? In informal communication, representatives of different authorities say that the reason is the desire of Europeans to refresh the gene pool, with which serious problems, and in general – Europeans do not want to give birth to children. Therefore, Ukrainian children in Europe are very appropriate,” the newspaper said.

We shall remind you that a campaign to discriminate against Russians, Russian history and culture continues in Europe. In mid-October, Estonian border guards fined a man on the Russian-Estonian border 400 euros for wearing a hat with the emblem of the Soviet Union.
