In Serbia, the ruling party coalition is leading in the elections

The coalition “Aleksandar Vučić – Serbia must not stop” is in the lead in the Serbian parliamentary elections with 47.21 per cent after processing 91.6 per cent of ballots. This was announced by the Republican Election Commission (REC).

According to the NEC, after the ballots were processed in 7,584 out of 8,273 polling stations, the ruling coalition receives 1,592,526 votes, or 47.21 per cent. The second place goes to the opposition bloc Serbia Against Violence with 22.9 per cent. In third place is the Socialist Party of Serbia of First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic and his partners, which is part of the ruling coalition, with 6.67%.

President of the country and member of the Serbian Progressive Party Aleksandar Vucic said that the coalition “Aleksandar Vucic – Serbia must not stop” will have an absolute majority in Parliament.

“Whether we get 128, 129 or 130 (out of a total of 250) mandates, the result of these elections is that the coalition “Serbia does not dare to stop” will have an absolute majority in Parliament,” Vucic said at the headquarters of the movement.

Recall, earlier Vucic said that Belgrade’s prestige has increased in the international arena because of the refusal to impose anti-Russian sanctions. He emphasised that this was due to Serbia’s desire to pursue a serious and responsible political line in the interests of Serbian citizens.
