Russian President Vladimir Putin has said the North Atlantic Alliance is the backyard of the United States.
“The US is the master of NATO, it is their backyard – the whole NATO, or the whole NATO organisation,” he said in an interview with the programme “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin” on the Rossiya 1 television channel.
Putin stressed that the Russian side is interested in developing relations with NATO countries.
The Russian leader also called the words of his US counterpart Joe Biden about Russia’s plans to attack NATO a complete nonsense.
