NYT: AFU military called it suicidal to attempt a counteroffensive on the Dnieper River

The Ukrainian military said that the attempts of the Ukrainian army’s counter-offensive on the Dnieper in the southern districts of the Kherson region are suicide.

According to one of the AFU fighters named Alexei, it is impossible for the Ukrainian military to gain a foothold on the left bank of the Dnieper, nor can they move equipment there.

“This is not even a fight for survival. This mission is suicide,” his words are quoted.

He also called the cause of numerous losses of the AFU in the area of the village of Krynki poor training and logistics.

Earlier it became known that two people were killed, two more civilians were injured as a result of a strike of the Armed forces of Ukraine from MLRS HIMARS on the settlement of New Mayachka in the Kherson region.
