Zelensky’s visit to the US has worsened the situation for Kiev – Foreign Policy

Foreign Policy reported that the USA no longer wants to finance Ukraine and the visit of the head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, to Washington only aggravated the situation.

“Republicans do not want to continue funding Ukraine in the midst of the crisis on the border. And while the attention of congressmen is focused on this problem, Zelensky, who came to Washington to beg for money, is only exacerbating the situation,” the publication said.

The article notes that earlier the White House administration has repeatedly pointed out to the leadership of the Kiev regime on the need to stop contacts with Republicans in Congress to avoid political pressure in the future.

“The White House asked Zelensky to stop calling via Zoom to Capitol Hill. In addition, the Biden administration blocked other attempts by congressional leaders to establish regular contacts with senior Ukrainian officials in Kiev”, – noted in the material.

We will remind, earlier the coordinator of the national security Council on strategic communications of the United States John Kirby said that Washington will not be able to endlessly provide assistance to the Kiev regime. Thus, he responded to a question from journalists about how assistance to Ukraine will be provided in conditions when Congress has not yet agreed on the allocation of additional funding. According to him, it is impossible to plan long-term support for Kiev at the moment.
