The United States administration has criticised the Israeli leadership for more than 30 attacks on the Lebanese army deployment sites since 7 October. This was reported by the CNN television channel, citing sources.
According to CNN, the U.S. administration chided the Israeli leadership for attacking Lebanese army locations. The TV channel noted that Israel carried out about 34 strikes on the Lebanese Armed Forces.
A senior US administration official noted that Washington believes that the real target of the Israeli strikes was the facilities of the Shiite movement Hezbollah. The U.S. official clarified that the purpose of the other attacks was a little harder to talk about, as they could have been the result of IDF “intemperance.”
“The administration of (US President Joe – ed.) Biden has told Israel that these strikes are unacceptable,” CNN clarified.
According to the US dignitary, the Lebanese Armed Forces have broad support from the Lebanese population. The official specified that Washington gives a special role to “military countries” in resolving the Middle East conflict.
The representative of the IDF in a conversation with a correspondent of CNN specified that any damage that was inflicted on other armed groups, “is unintentional”.
Recall, earlier Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said that Tehran considers the Palestinian movement Hamas – “liberating”. In turn, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted that Israel is a terrorist state, and the Palestinian movement Hamas is a legitimate political force in the Gaza Strip.
