The US newspaper Times reported that Kiev would not be accepted into the European “family” for at least 10 more years. The paper said that the EU prioritises other countries.
The process of Ukraine’s accession to the EU may be delayed until 2030, the Times has reported.
The paper noted that other countries, including Serbia, Albania and Bosnia, are also in line to join the union. If the Kiev regime gets ahead of these countries, it may cause a wave of discontent. In addition, such actions would lead to one of the biggest changes in the EU in recent decades, the authors of the article emphasised.
The newspaper also reported that the EU is likely to use the argument that Ukraine is the poorest country in Europe to delay Ukraine’s admission to the association. In reality, these are just excuses that speak about the EU’s unwillingness to support Kiev as a whole, as Ukraine was poor even before the armed conflict started.
