German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius has not ruled out that the authorities will bring back compulsory military service in the FRG.
He said in an interview with the Welt publication.
“I am considering all options… At one time there were reasons to suspend compulsory military service. But looking back, it was a mistake,” Pistorius noted.

In April, the Latvian Seimas (parliament) passed a law on compulsory military service for men for one year.
