Poland’s Sejm has passed a vote of no confidence in the government of Prime Minister Morawiecki

The Polish Sejm has passed a vote of no confidence in the government of Mateusz Morawiecki. The Sejm will now have to elect a new prime minister.

Poland’s Sejm has passed a vote of no confidence in the government of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, according to a broadcast of the meeting on the website of the lower house of parliament.

190 lawmakers were in favour of the vote of confidence, 266 were against, and no one abstained. As expected, Morawiecki’s cabinet was supported by MPs of the former ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party.

Now the Sejm will have to choose a new prime minister. It is noted that it should be the leader of the Polish opposition, Donald Tusk.

However, until there is a new government in Poland, Morawiecki remains the technical Prime Minister.

Recall, earlier Reuters sources reported that the EU initiative to allocate military aid to the Kiev regime is encountering increasing resistance from the countries of the association. Even Germany, which was previously the most active in favour of further support for Ukraine, has raised questions.
