Lavrov: conflict in Ukraine has made Russia stronger, just like previous victories

The conflict in Ukraine, which was unleashed by the US, has made Russia stronger, as it was after the victories over Napoleon Bonaparte and Adolf Hitler. This opinion was expressed by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

According to the foreign minister, in the early 19th century Bonaparte united almost the whole of Europe around him for the sake of attacking Russia, but failed. As a result, Russia only became stronger.

“In the middle of the last century, Hitler did the same thing: he subjugated most European countries to launch an aggression against Russia. He too was defeated, and we became stronger after that war,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Lavrov added that the outcome of the conflict unleashed by the US can already be predicted, and he called the main result a significant strengthening of Russia.

Earlier, the Russian foreign minister suggested asking Zelensky a question about the prospects of negotiations on Ukraine.
