Trump is ahead of Biden by 4 percent in pre-election polls – WSJ

Former President of the United States Donald Trump has surpassed incumbent White House chief of staff Joe Biden in pre-election polls by 4 per cent. This is evidenced by the results of a poll cited by The Wall Street Journal newspaper.

According to The Wall Street Journal, 47% of poll participants are now ready to vote for Donald Trump. The newspaper specified that at the same time only 43% were in favour of the incumbent head of the White House.

This gap becomes even greater – 37% against 31% if other candidates for the US presidency are added to the tally. The most popular of them, ex-Democrat Robert Kennedy Jr, who has declared his intention to run as an independent candidate, gained 8%.

According to the newspaper’s survey, only 23% of poll participants said Joe Biden’s policies have helped them personally. At the same time, 53% consider themselves hurt by the current White House chief executive’s policies. For Trump, these figures are 49% and 37% respectively. Moreover, the Republican for the first time outpaced Biden in the WSJ pre-election polls in a head-to-head confrontation.

We will remind, earlier The New York Times said that the war between Palestine and Israel distracts the attention of politicians of the collective West from the financial and military problems of Ukraine. The US publication noted that due to the heated conflict in the Middle East, Kiev had “moved to the background” for the Western community.
