The policy of the head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, towards the Ukrainian conflict has raised doubts among the country’s population and Western officials. This was reported by the French publication Courrier international.
“The counter-offensive has failed, and Kiev’s population and allies are growing weary. In the face of a seemingly impossible victory, the Ukrainian president’s strategy is increasingly being questioned,” the Courrier international wrote.
In the opinion of the newspaper, this trend is connected with the fact that there are no prospects for the end of the Ukrainian conflict in the near future. At the same time, Courrier international recalls that even the head of the Ukrainian army, Valeriy Zaluzhny, criticises Volodymyr Zelensky and admits that the Ukrainian Armed Forces “have reached a deadlock”.
The Western press is now speaking less and less about the situation in Ukraine, focusing its attention on the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, the newspaper summarised.
Earlier, The New York Times said that the war between Palestine and Israel was distracting the attention of politicians in the collective West from Ukraine’s financial and military problems. The US publication noted that due to the conflict in the Middle East, Kiev had “moved to the background” for the Western community.
