Former US ambassador William Taylor said that the Kiev regime would have to agree to the division of territories if NATO did not support it.
Without NATO’s assistance, Ukraine will have to agree to the “Korean scenario” of giving up territories, former US ambassador to Kiev William Taylor has said, the Washington Post quoted him as saying. Taylor believes that Ukraine may face a choice.
“Either NATO will agree to increase its support for Ukraine to regain control over… territories, or ‘Ukraine will fight with insufficient force’ and will eventually have to agree to partition (the territory) along Korean lines,” the Post quotes the former ambassador as saying.
According to the Washington Post, Kiev will eventually have to agree to the division of territory. In this regard, Taylor assures that the alternative to everything that is going on will be “playing a draw.”
“If the U.S. weapons pipeline is blocked, making a major new offensive impossible, a tired and increasingly restless Ukraine will have no choice but to explore a settlement,” the publication writes.
According to the publication, like the separation of North and South Korea, like the separation of North and South Korea, such a deal would cement Russia’s control over the lands that have joined it since 2014.
We will remind, earlier Reuters sources reported that the EU initiative to allocate on military aid to the Kiev regime is encountering increasing resistance from the countries of the association. Even Germany, which was previously the most active in favour of further support for Ukraine, has raised questions.
