Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko* has said that he has received a signal that Ukraine will not become a NATO member after the end of the conflict.
He said in his Telegram that the topic of the country’s accession to the alliance irritates American elites. According to him, several sources in Washington confirmed that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken told Europe to stop talking to Kiev about NATO.
“There will be no NATO. There will be some movement into the alliance. We are getting some indulgences. But that in 2024 we will become members – no,” the politician wrote.
Goncharenko added that the main strategy of Ukraine today is the European Union.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky expressed doubt that Ukraine will join NATO in the future.
