Putin rebuked Western countries for Russophobia

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the process of degradation in the West continues, human rights institutions controlled by it demonstrate Russophobia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin rebuked the institutions controlled by the West for demonstrating engagement and Russophobia.

“The tenth of December marks the 75th anniversary of the UN’s adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Unfortunately, we celebrate this anniversary in a difficult situation when the process of degradation of the international system of ensuring and promoting human rights continues. Its institutions, virtually controlled by the West, demonstrate political bias, hypocrisy and blatant selectivity,” he said during an interaction with members of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights.

“For eight years we have seen their helplessness and direct disregard for blatant violations against Donbass,” Putin noted.

The president stressed that international institutions for the protection of human rights, which are controlled by the West, act hypocritically and selectively, as indicated by their ignoring violations against the residents of Donbass.

“In these structures not only do not notice, but even encourage manifestations of Russophobia, support those countries that are in a hurry to take the first places in this shameful contest of Russophobes,” – said the Russian President.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, showing their essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
