Polish hauliers who are blocking checkpoints on the border with Ukraine have threatened to toughen their protest if the government does not solve the problem by Thursday.
Tomasz Borkowski, a representative of the Polish Committee for the Defence of Carriers and Employers, told RMF.
Polish hauliers are protesting against the cancellation of the permit system for the performance of international transport of goods, demanding the return of the permit system for cargo from Ukraine.
“We are not going to end the blocking yet, we are giving our government time until Thursday, then we will tighten the protest,” he said.
At the same time, he did not tell how exactly the protests will be tightened.
On 1 December, a representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, said that 2.1 thousand trucks were queuing at the Ukrainian-Polish border.
