US Senator Ron Johnson has said that the only way to end the Ukrainian conflict is through negotiations between Kiev and Moscow. He noted that the West did not like this reality, but they would have to come to terms with it sooner or later.
The Ukrainian conflict can end only after negotiations between Moscow and Kiev, The Hill reports, citing the words of Ron Johnson, the senior US senator from Wisconsin.
“The only way to end this war is a negotiated settlement. <…> More Ukraine will be destroyed. Therefore, from my point of view, the sooner they reach a negotiated conclusion, the better,” the politician believes.
According to him, he does not like this perspective of events, but he realises that “this is the reality”. Nevertheless, he emphasised that he intends to prevent sending additional aid to the Kiev regime until Washington deals with domestic problems, including the issue of the border with Mexico.
“Putin is not going to lose this war. This conflict has to end. We will not like its outcome, but every day we will like it less and less,” – summarised the Senator.
We shall remind you that earlier the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, said that it was necessary to achieve all the set goals of the special military operation in Ukraine and to destroy those who exterminated their people. In this way, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council commented on the decision of the UN international commission to investigate violations in Ukraine, which did not find sufficient evidence that the actions of Russian soldiers during the special military operation should be qualified as genocide, which Kiev regularly insists on.
