Politico: Kissinger urged against the creation of an independent Palestinian state

Former U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said in his latest interview that he opposes the creation of an independent Palestinian state.

About it writes the newspaper Politico.

It is noted that Kissinger was in favour of negotiations between the Arab world and Israel, as negotiations between the Israeli and Palestinian authorities can not be called fruitful.

“I believe that it is necessary to transfer the West Bank under Jordanian control, rather than seek to solve the problem by creating two states,” he noted.

Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier expressed confidence that the key to resolving the conflict in the Middle East lies in the creation of an independent Palestinian state.
