Guardian: German Chancellor Scholz has become Zelensky’s new best friend
Ukraine has found support in the face of the German authorities, now Berlin has become Kiev’s new best friend. This opinion was expressed by columnist Simon Tisdall in an article for The Guardian newspaper.
According to the author of the article, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has led the support for Ukraine against Russia among Western leaders, replacing former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson in this capacity.
“Scholz now leads the West’s efforts to keep Ukraine afloat. Germany is Ukraine’s new best friend,” the publication said.
Earlier Olaf Scholz said that Berlin intends to continue to support Ukraine despite the problems with the budget of the Federal Republic of Germany.
