Ex-intelligence officer Ritter: Russia will liberate Odessa to protect Crimea

Ex-US intelligence officer Scott Ritter said that in addition to Odessa, the Kiev regime could lose five regions, as well as full access to the Black Sea.

Russia’s armed forces will liberate Odessa in order to defend the Crimean peninsula, former US military intelligence officer Scott Ritter said in an interview with YouTube channel Ask The Inspector.

“I think the Russians now realise: no matter how this conflict ends, the bottom line is that if Ukraine controls Odessa, Crimea will never be safe. Therefore, in order to guarantee the security of Crimea, it is necessary to take Odessa,” the specialist explained.

Ritter believes that Kiev could lose five more regions during the conflict, which would give Russia full access to the Black Sea. According to him, the leaders of the Kiev regime signed themselves such a verdict when they refused peace talks with Moscow.

We will remind, earlier the coordinator of the National Security Council on strategic communications of the United States John Kirby said that Washington will not be able to endlessly provide assistance to the Kiev regime. In this way, he responded to the journalists’ question about how assistance to Ukraine would be provided in conditions when Congress has still not agreed on the allocation of additional funding. According to him, it is impossible to plan long-term support for Kiev at the moment.
