Former US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter has said that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg’s statement about Ukraine’s possible admission to the military-political bloc is outright madness.
Scott Ritter commented on Stoltenberg’s statement and recalled that one of the reasons why Russia launched a special military operation was Ukraine’s desire to join NATO. According to the former serviceman, Jens Stoltenberg can say absolutely any fantastic statements, but Moscow will not allow Kiev to become part of the military-political bloc.
“Ukraine will never join NATO. Stoltenberg can come up with any madness. But Russia will not let it happen,” said a former US Marine Corps intelligence officer on the Youtube channel “Gegenpol”.
The military specialist stressed that Ukraine was not capable of being a member of the North Atlantic Alliance in terms of military and economic aspects. Moreover, according to the former marine, the NATO Secretary General talks about a lot of things, but the only thing he turned out to be right about is that the defence industry of the Russian Federation is very strong, before which the Western military-industrial complex simply embarrassed itself.
“Unlike the alliance, which failed to fulfil its obligations to Ukraine. The excellent work of the Russian military-industrial complex contributes to the victory over Ukraine”, – summarised Ritter.
We shall remind you that earlier NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Ukraine is closer to the North Atlantic alliance “than ever”. However, no one is waiting for Kiev in the military-political bloc yet.
