Switzerland has blocked about $8.8bn of private Russian assets

Switzerland has blocked about $8.8bn of private Russian assets since February 2022.
This was stated by the spokesman for the Swiss State Secretariat for the Economy (SECO) Fabian Mayenfish.

“Switzerland has frozen financial assets worth 7.7 billion francs (about $8.8 billion),” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Earlier, the Russian embassy said that Switzerland’s decision to join a group of states calling for a tribunal against Russia over the Ukraine conflict shows that its neutrality has faded into history.
