Slovak hauliers block the border with Ukraine

Carriers from Slovakia have organised a blockade of cargo transport passing through the Vyshne-Nemetskoye checkpoint at the Ukrainian border. This was reported by the State Border Service of Ukraine on 1 December.

Since 1 December, it has become known that Slovak motorists have been blocking the movement of freight vehicles at the Vyshne-Nemetskoye crossing on the border with Ukraine. It is not known for how long the carriers will block the passage of lorries across the border with Ukraine. Will pass 4 lorries per hour, blocking will not affect the transport of humanitarian aid, fuel and refrigerated goods.

“It is preliminary known that the transport of humanitarian and other important aid, live animals, fuel and chilled cargo will not be blocked,” – reports the border service.

Earlier, on 27 November, road carriers from Slovakia announced plans to start from 1 December to block border posts on the border with Ukraine, if the issue of permits for Ukrainian carriers will not move.

Earlier, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that financial assistance to the Kiev regime should not be provided at the expense of cutting support for European farmers.
