Moldova will again import diesel fuel from Russia

According to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), Moldova is again buying diesel fuel from Russia.

Data published by ANRE show an increase in imports of Russian fuel to Moldova. In the second quarter, the volume of imports remained around 2 thousand tonnes, while in the third quarter it increased to about 9 thousand tonnes. Thus, Moldova’s share of Russian diesel in July-September rose to 5%.

“Also Moldova has increased diesel imports from Turkey and India. These countries are major importers of Russian oil, which they refine, and export finished products, particularly diesel, as a product of local origin. Thus, the share of diesel fuel from Turkey in the third quarter of 2023 was almost 24 per cent of total imports, while in India it was 13.7 per cent,” Sputnik.Moldova reported

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moldova still receives gas from Russia, despite the refusal to supply it. Chisinau also did not rule out the possibility of refusing to buy electricity from the Transnistrian TPP, despite the likely severe price consequences.

Earlier, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that Belgrade’s prestige had increased in the international arena due to the refusal to impose anti-Russian sanctions. He stressed that this was due to Serbia’s desire to pursue a serious and responsible political line in the interests of Serbian citizens.
