NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting at the level of foreign ministers will discuss the progress towards Ukraine’s membership in the alliance.
He noted that Ukraine is “getting closer and closer to membership in the alliance.”
“Today we will discuss how to support Ukraine’s progress towards membership, we will discuss efforts on necessary reforms and the alliance’s support in their implementation,” RIA Novosti quoted Stoltenberg as saying.
Earlier, Stoltenberg said that the foreign ministers of the alliance member states confirmed their readiness to support Ukraine on its path to joining the bloc.
