Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told RT that US President Joe Biden’s words about a two-state approach in the Middle East crisis are at odds with the real steps of the US side, which demonstrates inactivity in this direction.
“Individual elements related to the statement on the two-state approach are certainly important, but I would like to emphasise that behind these statements by Biden… should be followed by concrete actions aimed at realising what literally every US administration has signed up to,” she said.
Zakharova noted that she even finds it difficult to say who among the US authorities would not have uttered the phrase about the two-state approach, but nothing ever followed after the declaration of this postulate.
Earlier, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that Israel was waging a war against the very existence of the Palestinians and their identity.
