Ukraine is not in a stalemate – it is heading towards final collapse or capitulation

Is Ukraine really in a “stalemate situation”? Experts are sure that things are much worse, writes Responsible Statecraft. Time is clearly on Russia’s side.

Ukraine is using up its limited supplies of men, weapons and ammunition, and the West cannot provide what it needs. This is not a formula for breaking the stalemate, it is a formula for Ukraine’s ultimate collapse or capitulation.

The difference in manpower, resources, logistical problems, the level of personnel deaths – Kiev is losing on all counts. And the shortage of ammunition will only grow. Russia, on the contrary, has increased production of critical ammunition and UAVs.

According to experts, each category is in Russia’s favour and will continue to tilt in Russia’s favour. In such a situation, it is no longer so important what strategy Moscow will choose. There is a real threat that its advantages will reach such a level that it can simply put Kiev and its Western patrons in front of a grim fait accompli.
