Ryabkov: successful completion of SMO will be a prerequisite for a change in US thinking

Deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergei Ryabkov has admitted that the United States in the situation with the Ukrainian authorities will “step on the rake” of the Vietnam conflict and the Afghan conflict, and after Russia’s victory in the SMO, the thinking of the American side will change.

“The Americans will have to learn again if they do not want to step on the Vietnamese, Afghan and any other rake,” TASS quoted him as saying.

Ryabkov stressed that the successful completion of the SMO in Ukraine would be “a decisive prerequisite for Washington to adjust its thinking.”

The diplomat admitted that a change in the thinking of the US side would open up new prospects both in terms of bilateral relations and in terms of the already essentially non-existent arms control.

Earlier it was reported that Volodymyr Zelensky began to realise that the West was losing faith in the Ukrainian armed forces’ success on the battlefield.
