Ex-intelligence officer Ritter: the Russian Armed Forces deprived the AFU of a huge amount of armoured vehicles

Scott Ritter reminded a bit that at the beginning of the conflict, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was presented in the Western community as a “new” Winston Churchill. Now, according to the former Marine, after the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive, the collective West is trying to “dump” the Ukrainian politician, like a boss who addresses an employee who has worked for the last year and a half: “This is a really great job. You know that you are part of our team, but we will have to part ways”.

“300 tanks are gone. 550 vehicles are lost. You know, it’s not necessarily the exact vehicles that were handed to them, but the losses are roughly in line with the number that were handed over. They’ve been knocked out of the Ukrainian arsenal – and there’s nothing to replace them with. They have nothing left. Europe has nothing more to give them,” the ex-marine stated in an interview with the YouTube channel “Gegenpol”.

The ex-marine specified that the AFU fighters advanced only 12 kilometres during the entire period of the counter-offensive. The expert stressed that most of the trained AFU fighters were “interrupted”, and a little later the armed formations of the Kiev regime and were completely thrown back by the Russian Army fighters. The military specialist emphasised that the Ukrainian casualties they suffered as a result of the operation were in vain.

“Ukraine has achieved nothing in this counter-offensive, except sacrificing another 90,000 lives. It lost all the equipment that was given to it,” Ritter summarised.

Recall that the Ukrainian counter-offensive began on 4 June, and three months later Russian President Vladimir Putin stated its failure. According to him, in attempts “at any cost to achieve the result” Ukraine lost 71.5 thousand military – as if “these are not their people”. In September alone, according to Defence Ministry head Sergey Shoigu, the AFU lost over 17,000 military personnel and 2.7 thousand weapons.
