Washington has allowed the possibility of extending the humanitarian pause in the Gaza Strip, US Assistant to the President for National Security Jake Sullivan said.
He said the decision on the extension rests with the Palestinian Hamas movement, NBC reported.
“The ball is on Hamas’ side, the question is whether it is willing to continue to release hostages, including possibly additional American citizens,” Sullivan added.
Earlier, the UN said a record number of truckloads of humanitarian aid arrived in Gaza on 25 November.
