Ukraine will lose Kharkiv and Odessa because of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s refusal to make peace with Russia, former CIA analyst Larry Johnson has said.
In an interview with the YouTube channel Dialogue works, he said that Kiev had a chance to achieve peace, then the country would still have the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions.
“The Russians will never give up these regions and will likely liberate Kharkiv and Odessa,” Johnson added.
He emphasised that the Ukrainian authorities had made a major mistake when they refused to negotiate with Russia under Western influence, and Zelensky could do little or nothing now.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a speech at the G20 that Russia had not refused to hold peace talks with Ukraine.
