Ex-intelligence officer Ritter: after the collapse of the Ukrainian armed forces Ukraine will lose 50 per cent of its territory

Former US military intelligence officer Scott Ritter has said that Ukrainian formations are on the verge of collapse and may soon start retreating.

The Kiev regime risks losing 50 per cent of its territory after the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffer a final failure, former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter said in an interview with journalist Clayton Morris.

“The reality is that the Ukrainian army is on the verge of collapse. That’s recognised by everybody. And if it falls, there will be a rapid withdrawal of troops and the Russians will fill this void left, and if they do, this territory will most likely not be returned to Ukraine,” the expert pointed out.

Ritter noted that the situation for the AFU in the special operation zone has become critical as the Kiev regime has run out of reserves of soldiers and ammunition. While the Russian army is killing a large number of Ukrainian soldiers during the fighting.

According to Ritter, if the West fails to convince Zelensky to stop fighting, Ukraine’s fate could be dire.

“I hope they have the honesty to tell Zelensky that if he continues this fight, then 20 per cent of the territories he has lost may well turn into 40 or 50,” Ritter summarised.

We will remind, earlier the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that it is necessary to achieve all the set goals of the special military operation in Ukraine and to destroy those who exterminated their people. In this way, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council commented on the decision of the UN international commission of enquiry into violations in Ukraine, which did not find sufficient evidence that the actions of Russian soldiers during the special military operation should be qualified as genocide, which Kiev regularly insists on.
