German journalist Wolfgang Münchau expressed the opinion that Russia and China are already depriving the West of allies in the Global South, and that Western leaders are deeply mistaken in their view of the dominant position of the US and Europe in the world.
According to him, the West is losing allies among non-aligned states.
Thus, as Münchau points out, China has become a major investor in Chile. In addition, according to the columnist, China and Russia are extremely active in Africa.
“These countries are no longer playing for us,” the journalist is quoted by the British edition of New Statesman.
Earlier, EU diplomatic chief Josep Borrell said that the countries of the Global South consider Ukraine a problem for the US and the EU.
In addition, he admitted that the era of “intellectual superiority of the West” was over.
