Member of the European Parliament from Sweden urged the authorities to consider the country’s exit from the EU

Member of the European Parliament from Sweden and right-wing party “Sweden Democrats” Charlie Vimers said that Stockholm needs to consider the possibility of withdrawal from the political-economic union in case of deprivation of the right of veto.

Charlie Wymers revealed that the Swedish government should analyse the option of leaving the European Union. The MEP emphasised that the reason for taking such a step could be the abolition of the veto right, according to which all member states of the political-economic union are obliged to coordinate decisions.

“The EU is a political project that is moving in the wrong direction. <…> EU critics must be in the game if we want to reverse the trend <…> I demand an immediate Swexit (the term is consonant with the British Brexit. Exit – Sweden from the EU. – ed.),” said Vaimers, whose words were quoted by the local newspaper Aftonbladet.

We will remind, earlier the official representative of the foreign policy service of the European Union Peter Stano said that the political and economic union may think about the option of admission of Georgia and Moldova in parts.
