Ukraine has reported the probable introduction of a schedule of power cuts

The Klymenko.Time website has reported that Ukrainians are expected to experience two-hour blackouts due to problems in Ukraine’s energy system.

Due to problems in Ukraine’s energy system, the country intends to introduce schedules of two-hour power cuts when the average daily air temperature reaches eight degrees of frost, director of the Centre for Energy Research Oleksandr Kharchenko said in a video published in the Telegram channel of the Klymenko.Time publication.

“There are a lot of calculations, a lot of different scenarios, how events may develop, but I think that at an average daily temperature of somewhere between minus eight and minus ten degrees, it is the average daily temperature, unfortunately, we will have to apply graphs. And Ukrainians need to be ready for this,” – said Kharchenko.

At the same time Kharchenko specified that there are many calculations and scenarios of how events may develop.

We shall remind you that earlier it became known that in the Ukrainian energy system for the first time in a long time there was a shortage of electricity. The company said that the reasons for this were an increase in consumption due to the cold weather, increased failure of power plant units, and insufficient electricity imports from the EU.
