Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin has said that the contact group on Ukraine has already sent Kiev more than $80bn since the start of the Russian Armed Forces special operation.
During a meeting of the group on military assistance to Kiev with the participation of the US and partners, he said he was proud of the assistance provided to the Ukrainian authorities, RIA Novosti reports.
“I am proud that this historic contact group has allocated more than $80 billion in defence assistance to Ukraine,” Austin said.
Earlier, US Finance Minister Janet Yellen said that Ukraine was fully dependent on assistance from the USA and its partners.
