The Swiss Federal Council has approved the sale of 25 Leopard 2 tanks to Germany.
This is stated in a statement on the government website.
“The Federal Council has approved the request to export 25 Type 87 Leopard 2 A4 battle tanks to Germany,” the website reports.
It is specified that Berlin has pledged not to transfer them to countries that are not members of NATO or the EU.
Earlier, the AFP news agency reported that the Swiss Ministry of Economy said it was investigating reports about the transfer of Swiss ammunition to the AFU through a Polish company.
