Almost 50% of residents of the United States believe that Washington spends too much money on assistance to Ukraine.
This is reported by the Associated Press with reference to a poll conducted jointly with the NORC Centre for Public Affairs Research.
According to the poll, 45% of Americans are in favour of reducing the funds allocated to Ukraine.
“I think we spend too much money on Ukraine when we have our own problems here on our own soil,” said Eric Mondello, one of the poll participants.
In addition, those polled pointed out that Washington does not control the use of funds allocated to Kiev.
Earlier, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green said that the US administration should stop funding Ukraine and focus on domestic problems.
