Rada says it votes to please the West because of financial dependence

The deputy speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Oleksandr Kornienko, has said that the parliament votes to please the West because of financial dependence on it.

“You can vote for anything, but still as a result you will fulfil your obligations. Because it’s very important for everyone to understand that they are fulfilling their obligations, €75bn, sorry, they didn’t come out of nowhere. We have been living for two years at their expense,” Korniyenko said in an interview with “Liga.net”.

He noted that in case of making decisions contrary to the vision of the West, the Verkhovna Rada will still be forced to correct it.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy admitted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would be forced to retreat if Western countries stop providing assistance to Kiev.
