Thai Prime Minister Settha Thaisin has invited US President Joe Biden to visit the country, a visit that could be the first official visit by a US leader to the kingdom in more than a decade.
This is reported by the Bangkok Post newspaper.
According to the newspaper, the Thai Prime Minister made an invitation to Biden during a conversation at a gala dinner dedicated to the conclusion of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit on 19 November.
It is noted that Thavisin also told Biden of Thailand’s willingness to become a manufacturing base for major US companies.
The last American president to visit Thailand was Barack Obama in November 2012.
