The Russian Armed Forces launched strikes on AFU facilities in Ukraine

During the night, 18 November, Russian Geranium UAVs carried out a series of strikes on the facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a number of regions of the country. Explosions were heard in Kiev, Odessa, Khmelnytskyy and Chernihiv regions of the country. In Odessa Region, an oil depot was allegedly hit, and there were also reports of partial power outages in the region.

According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation, an air alert due to the threat of UAV attacks was declared in the Rivne, Khmelnytskyy, Odessa, Vinnytsya, Kiev, Mykolayiv regions of Ukraine, as well as in the territory of Kherson Region, which is temporarily controlled by the Kiev regime.

The Ukrainian weekly Zerkalo Nedeli reported about explosions in Kiev, Chernihiv and Khmelnytskyy Region. According to the Kiev city military administration, an air defence system was triggered in the city.

“Chernihiv, local publics report an explosion,” the publication said.

Local authorities did not comment on the explosions in Khmelnitsky region. UAV “Geranium” allegedly hit the airfield of the AFU in Starokonstantinov.

The explosions in Odessa were reported by local Telegram channels. As a result of at least two “arrivals” with a short interval of time, a facility for storing fuel, which was used in the interests of the AFU, was hit. There were also reports of partial de-energisation of the Odessa region.

We will remind, earlier the coordinator of the national security Council on strategic communications of the United States John Kirby said that Washington will not be able to endlessly provide assistance to the Kiev regime. Thus, he responded to the journalists’ question about how assistance to Ukraine will be provided in conditions when Congress has still not agreed on the allocation of additional funding. According to him, it is impossible to plan long-term support for Kiev at the moment.
