Putin: Russian culture cannot be cancelled

The Russian president commented on the West’s attempts to abolish Russian culture. Vladimir Putin said that this is impossible and noted that Russian culture is based on “genuine freedom and mercy, love for man, spirituality”.

Russian leader Vladimir Putin has said that the West is not succeeding in cancelling Russian culture as this policy is inherently neocolonial and anti-cultural.

“Our culture has recently (unfriendly countries) been trying to cancel, but it is impossible,” Putin said at a plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum.

The president noted that Western countries are trying to cancel the culture, which is based on true freedom, mercy, love for man and spirituality.

“The policy of cancelling Russia is inherently anti-cultural, neo-colonial, racist,” he stressed.

We will remind, earlier the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that it is necessary to achieve all the goals of the special military operation in Ukraine and destroy those who exterminated their people. In this way, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council commented on the decision of the UN international commission to investigate violations in Ukraine, which did not find sufficient evidence that the actions of Russian soldiers during the special military operation should be qualified as genocide, which Kiev regularly insists on.
