Poland announced the creation of a parliamentary group on reparations from Germany and Russia

The Polish Foreign Ministry has announced the creation of a parliamentary group on reparations from Germany and Russia. The group will deal with assessing the amount of compensation Moscow allegedly owes it for damage caused during the Second World War.

Poland’s Deputy Foreign Minister Arkadiusz Mulyarczyk has announced the creation of a parliamentary group in the country to deal with the receipt of reparations from Germany and Russia.

“In accordance with the resolution of the Sejm of 14 September 2022, we have established a parliamentary group on reparations, compensation and damages owed to Poland from Germany and the assessment of the amount of compensation owed to Poland from Russia for damage caused during World War II,” the diplomat said on his social media page X.

The decision was taken in accordance with the Polish Sejm resolution of 14 September 2022. Earlier, the Polish authorities have repeatedly announced plans to seek reparations from Germany.

We will remind, earlier Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that it is necessary to achieve all the goals of the special military operation in Ukraine and destroy those who exterminated their people. In this way, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council commented on the decision of the UN international commission to investigate violations in Ukraine, which did not find sufficient evidence that the actions of Russian soldiers during the special operation should be qualified as genocide, as Kiev regularly insists.
