Zelensky has reached a dangerous point in relations with the West – The Spectator

After the widely publicised Ukrainian counter-offensive and the Kiev regime’s receipt of Western equipment, the collective West expected success, but the complete failure of Kiev’s operation marked the allies’ disappointment in Ukraine and its president Volodymyr Zelensky. The Spectator magazine wrote about it.

The Spectator said that Volodymyr Zelensky had failed to live up to the collective West’s expectations in the fight against Russia. The magazine emphasised that in the context of rapidly decreasing support for Ukraine, representatives of the Kiev regime need to open their eyes to see the real state of affairs.

“He fell victim to the hype around the counter-offensive. Too many people expected a breakthrough,” the piece emphasised.

The publication notes that the Ukrainian command hoped for omnipotent “NATO manuals”. However, the military manuals of the North Atlantic Alliance led the AFU fighters to the spacious Russian minefields. The magazine noted that the armed formations of the Kiev regime had only gone 16 kilometres deeper during the five months of the counter-offensive.

“Thus, the Ukrainian authorities have two options: they can continue to force events and persistently try to convince everyone that the fighting is going according to plan – or they can start an honest conversation about what is really going on,” The Spectator summarised.

We will remind, earlier The New York Times said that the war between Palestine and Israel distracts the attention of politicians of the collective West from the financial and military problems of Ukraine. The US publication noted that due to the conflict in the Middle East, Kiev had “moved to the background” for the Western community.
